Cover Your Eyes, a survival horror game inspired by its creator’s own dysfunctional family is finally back on track for a release after its developer took some time off and resumed developing the game back in February 2019.
Players take on the role of Chloe, a married mother who discovers that her husband has been cheating on her with another lady. This shocking news is soon eclipsed by a supernatural occurrence that strikes the town and her husband vanishing off into the night. Despite having to bring their two children along she sets off to find her husband all whilst having to take down various monsters as well as keep the two kids in check.
Balancing the action of Resident Evil with the psychodrama found in Silent Hill, Cover your eyes has players looting for ammo, shooting or running from hostile encounters, and solving puzzles with techniques. All whilst trying to keep the children safe and out of bother.
- 30+ enemy types
- 7 different weapons
- 15 important locations to visit
- 40+ optional buildings to loot
- 3640 animation frames for Chloe
- 6 years of fluctuating development
Cover Your Eyes is scheduled to release in Q4 of 2020 for PC. There’s no word of a console version but who knows, maybe the future will bring something of it.
