On the opening night of Gamescom, a new Borderlands 3 game mode was announced during a conversation between Gearbox Software’s, Creative Director, Paul Sage and Geoff Keighley during the live opening night show.
Vault-Hunters who love a challenge will be very happy with the game’s all-new end game mode, Proving Grounds. In Proving Grounds Vault Hunters will have to find ancient Eridian writings which lead to a proving ground. Once at the grounds players will have to defend themselves against hordes of relentless enemies whilst also contending with a timer. The quicker players are, the further they will progress within these missions and the more awesome their loot will be.
Fans of the series will also be happy to learn that The Circle Of Slaughter mode from the original Borderlands is making a return in Borderlands 3.
With all this Borderlands 3 news recently, I have to admit I really wish September 13th was even closer than it already is. It’s safe to say this is shaping it to be one hell of an amazing looking game that’s going to take many hours of enjoyment to complete.
Borderlands 3 releases on September 13th, 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It will also be releasing on Google’s upcoming Stadia platform at some point in the future. The game is available to pre-order now both digitally and at retail stores. For more Borderlands 3 information, check out the official site.
