Samurai Shodown Slashing Its Way To Nintendo Switch In February

SNK has announced that its award-nominated, Samurai Shodown is launching on February 25th for Nintendo Switch and that it’s pre purchasable.

This latest entry into the series keeps itself in line with the weapon-based fighting that has helped keep the franchise popular since way back in 1993. Signature features such as the Rage Gauge and Lightning Blade will be returning alongside a roster of both familiar and new characters. Then in addition to all of the above-mentioned things, Hizame Shizumaru from Samurai Showdown III will be included as a free character.

“SAMURAI SHODOWN’s upcoming release on the Nintendo Switch™ will mark the first time the series will be available on a Nintendo console in over 10 years,” says Yasuyuki Oda, Lead Producer of SAMURAI SHODOWN. “Fighting game fans will soon be able to pass a Joy-Con to an unsuspecting rival and unleash their fury anywhere around the world.”

Anyone who pre-orders the game will receive a 10% discount and a free digital copy of the Neo Geo Pocket classic, People who pre-order the physical edition can also look forward to a controller skin featuring Haohmaru and Yashamaru.
