Tarzan VR Swinging To VR Sets Later This Year

Fun Train, specialist publishers of VR games announced on Friday at San Diego Comic-Con that Tarzan VR is currently in development for the PlayStation VR, Valve Index, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift S systems.

Stonepunk Studios is the developer behind this episodic game series which is expected to releases later this year. They’re a studio that consists of AAA artists, who were responsible for the indie hit Primordian. As mentioned at the beginning of this article Fun Train (Publishers of The Exorcist: Legion VR) has been handed the producing and publishing responsibilities.

Tarzan VR will feature carefully balanced gameplay elements such as exploration, combat, athletics, creature interaction and natural wonder across multiple comic-styled episodes. There will be swinging, climbing and fighting as you work your way through the game’s five open-world environments. Each of these five worlds features its own unique landscapes and challenges for players to witness and overcome.

Fun Train CEO, Douglas Nabors is very excited about his company’s upcoming game, as you can tell by what he has said below.

“Stonepunk Studios is crafting an imaginative world that demonstrates a faithful but unique vision for the Tarzan franchise. We can’t wait for people to experience it.”

Meanwhile, Jim Sullos, the President of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc, owners of the Tarzan rights has shown his full support for the game by announcing that he is pleased to have partnered with the developer and publisher of Tarzan VR. he’s also happy to see Tarzan being brought to a new generation.

“Using this new technology, we believe we have entrusted the best team to develop an exciting game that reimagines Tarzan for a whole new generation.”
