Nintendo Switch Lite Is Available Now

Nintendo has today released the newest member of the Switch family, The Nintendo Switch Lite. The Nintendo Switch Lite is available now to purchase from all good retailers worldwide and comes with a price of £199.99 here in the U.K.

A lite version of the Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Switch Lite has been designed as smaller, handheld play only sibling to the slightly bigger hybrid Switch. With dimensions of 91.1mm x 208mm x 13.9mm vs the original Switch’s 102mm x 239mm x 13.9mm (with Joy-Con attached) the size difference is quite significant, making this version much better suited to carrying around. Whilst the screen resolution stays at 720p, the overall size has shrunk from 6.2-inch to 5.5-inch.

Of course, the biggest difference is that the Switch Lite will not work with your T.V so if that’s a must for you, you’ll have to fork out a bit more for the original version. If T.V play isn’t important to you and you want to save some cash, then the Switch Lite is there for you.

The release of The Switch Lite brings such much-needed diversity to the system, offering gamers a bit more choice. The only really confusing thing about it is why it’s still called a Switch when it doesn’t switch anymore.
